Re: Cancellation of Fort McKay Treaty Days 2016
Due to the unforeseen circumstances with the wild fire in Fort McMurray and the surrounding area, we regret to inform you that Fort McKay First Nations annual Treaty Days event, scheduled for June 23rd to June 26th 2016 has been cancelled.
Although the Fort McMurray fires has prevented our Treaty Days from taking place, we have decided to have a more intimate community event and host a celebration to honor our people who contributed to assisting with the fires, evacuees and to welcome our community members’ home.
On behalf of Fort McKay First Nation we are so very grateful for your support and understanding of this situation.
