Fort McKay First Nation Chief Jim Boucher has issued the following statement on the loss of the Honorable Jim Prentice:

“The Fort McKay Chief and Council wish to extend their deepest condolences to the family of the late Jim Prentice.

“Jim was a friend to our people and he approached our relationship with honesty, integrity and a genuine desire to understand our issues and concerns.  He dedicated much of his professional life as a lawyer and a politician to improving the relations between Canada and First Nations. For that, he will always be remembered and respected.

“Jim will be sadly missed.”
