A parade showcasing the Fort McKay community, its neighbors, and partners. Enjoy dancing and drumming and remarks from dignitaries.

Indigenous traditions will be celebrated throughout the weekend including an expanded Cultural Village, a Round Dance, traditional foods, and the return of Déne Hand Games.
Some of the community’s most talented will hit the stage on Friday night during Fort McKay Idol. Additionally, cheer on community members while they are showing off their jigging, moose calling, and laughing. Regionally recognized band Nicely Put Together will put on a great show to keep the crowd energized and enjoying the summer skies.
Kids Discovery Zone features bouncy castles, balloon tying, soft play area, and much more!
Starting at 5 p.m. Stephanie Harpe Experience, Just The Boyz, A.B.O., The Nicely Put Together Band, Jessa Sky, Donny Parenteau, and ending with Ernest Monias at 11 p.m. in the Amphitheatre, followed by a drone show you won’t want to miss!

Join in the gathering tent for delicious meals to help celebrate the weekend and refuel for more fun and connection. There will be meals served on Friday at lunch and supper, Saturday for breakfast and supper as well as a final BBQ on Sunday.
Annual Slo-Pitch softball tournament held in memory of Lawrence “Bull” Powder, teams pre-register for the tournament which is held over 4 days this year.
The lands used for Treaty Days are lovingly cared for. Please make sure that you’re disposing of trash and recycling in the vessels provided. Washrooms are located throughout the site for your use, along with water to help keep you hydrated.
Should you require medical assistance please visit the Medika North medical team located at the Upper Arbour, or if you happen to lose something, lost and found will also be kept next to the first aid tent.
This year’s festivities kick off on June 20th with the Fort McKay Group of Companies Annual Golf Tournament. Friday features a parade showcasing the 125th Anniversary of the signing of Treaty 8, featuring our neighbours, and partners before the Grand Entry and Opening Ceremonies. There has been a long history of celebrating Treaty Days in Fort McKay. This anniversary year promises to be another exceptional showcase of Indigenous culture and will welcome community members of all ages, along with people across the region.
