Community Nursing

While the term community health can be broadly defined; the community of Fort McKay has federally funded programs related to specific areas including Communicable Disease Control, Aboriginal Diabetes Wellness program, Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Program, Environmental Health, and Emergency Disaster Plan. Each program area endeavors to support Individuals, groups, and communities through seamless collaboration between programs and disciplines. An effort toward the balanced mind, body spirit, and emotion.

Services provided:

  • Communicable Disease Control (CDC) i.e. Immunization program, TB surveillance, notifiable diseases including STBBI
  • Environmental Health (EHO); water testing
  • Aboriginal Diabetes Initiative (ADI)
  • Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP)
  • Emergency Disaster Plan (Pandemic)

Hours of operation
Monday to Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Friday 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
